We use language to catch up with friends, to meet new people, to let people know how we are feeling and to get involved in a different culture. Knowing more than one language opens up whole new areas of possibilities and adventure to us.
Communication is interaction and language is how we communicate, be it through the spoken word, the movement of our body, the singing of our hands or more and more nowadays through our computer (which has many languages of it’s own).
I know that without an appreciation of language my life would not be so rich, my travels around the world would be less exciting and more lonely.
Language is a wonderful thing and whatever your reason for wanting to know more of another, or to understand your own spoken or body language better then we applaud you.
